Learning up and down

ACTIVITY OF THE DAY

Do you have stairs in your house?  Then you have a great opportunity to model the words "up" and "down."  Everytime you go up the stairs with your child say "up, up, up, up..." as you go up and say "down, down, down, down..." as you go down.  If you go up and down your stairs as much as I do then you will give your child hundereds of examples of the words "up" and "down" in just 2 months.  Don't be surprised if you are going up your stairs one day when your little one starts saying "up, up, up."
